Zoomies focuses more on small groups of personality matched dogs, personal attention, and structured care. If traditional daycare is public school, Zoomies is a Montessori school (both great, just different needs!)
-

Absolutely! After your first assessment we will be able to tell you the basics of your dogs play style. You can use this information to help them find suitable play mates on your own.
-
We accept all dogs for assessment! Many dogs find the traditional model of day care too stressful and thrive with our alternative style. If for some reason your dog cannot find a play mate with us, we will work with you to find a path that meets your goals.

Yes, your first ever session with us will be a behavioral assessment, which is pretty much just an extra structured play session where our staff is figuring our your dogs social skill level. This helps us know who to match them with and how to reach any goals you may have expressed with us. We really love when owners come to watch so that you can learn too!
-
In most cases, we are able to alleviate and sometimes remedy reactivity. This is highly dependent on the dog, the level of training you want to commit to, and the root of the reactivity itself. Regardless of outcome, you will leave Zoomies with a detailed plan of how to move forward.
-
This is highly variable and entirely dependent on your dog. Some dogs never begin to apply their new skills to other dogs, and each new dog is a mystery to them. Though we have yet to meet a dog that can’t have at least one friend. Our goal is to help you and your dog better navigate the future so you are both safe and happy.
-
We first assess them for social skill level and play style, which includes looking at how they play, what they tolerate, what they do not tolerate, and how they are able to use body language to communicate with other dogs. From there, we choose a play mate that is most likely to reach the goals we have set for socialization (sometimes that is just to have fun!)
-
Once we establish a group that your dog fits into well, we will work with you to schedule a day and time that works for everyone and put it into our software portal. On the day of, our staff will let you know when we are close by texting you. If you are not home, we will use a provided key or code to pick your dog up and transport them to the play destination. Return works the same but in reverse!
